Abstract

Based on a research carried out with the Journalism courses of Curitiba and Ponta Grossa in Paraná on the treatment of gender issues in vocational training, the article discusses gender theme based on the New Curriculum Guidelines of 2013, which guide the pedagogical projects of the institutions. A description of teaching, research and extension practices, resulting from questionnaires applied with coordinators and teachers of courses from seven institutions (Federal University of Paraná, Positivo University, OPET Educational Group, Pontifical Catholic University of Paraná, University Center Autonomous of Brazil, Ponta Grossa State University and Secal Colleges), is presented with the intention of highlighting the importance of the theme in journalism training.
