Call for the dossier “The teaching of Journalism and university extension”

The Brazilian Journal of Journalism Teaching (REBEJ) has an open call for submissions to the dossier “The teaching of Journalism and university extension”. The edition will be carried out by guest professors Sandra de Deus and Nilton Rocha. Both have consolidated paths in university extension, including the coordination of projects and programs, management and the production of numerous articles on the subject.

Articles, experience reports and book reviews that deal with extensionist practices in journalism education will be accepted, following the journal's submission rules. The dossier aims to encourage a greater number of university extension activities in journalism courses and encourage debate on the formative action of inserting students in territories and communities, pointing to the implementation of the Guidelines for Extension in Brazilian Higher Education.

Resolution 07 of the CNE/CES, which regulates the provisions of Goal 12.7 of the National Education Plan - PNE 2014-2024, provides that from December 2022 the curricula of all undergraduate courses must be changed to cover ten percent of credits made in university extension.
